Integrating XILO with Microsoft Dynamics 365 empowers insurance agencies by seamlessly pushing data collected from quoting forms directly into Dynamics 365. This guide is designed to simplify the setup process for system administrators, ensuring a smooth and secure integration.

Step 1: Ensure Proper Permissions

Before starting, ensure you have "App Level" permissions on Azure. This is crucial as you'll be creating an app registration for XILO within Azure.

Step 2: Register XILO as an App in Azure

  1. Log in to Azure: Navigate to the Azure portal and sign in with your credentials.

  2. Access App Registrations: In the Azure portal, find and select "App Registrations."

  3. Create a New Registration: Click on "New registration" and name the application XILO. Follow the prompts to complete the registration.

  4. Store Tenant ID and Client ID: Post-registration, you'll be directed to the app's overview page. Note the Tenant ID and Client ID and securely store it in a password management tool like 1Password.

  5. Configure API Permissions: Go to "API permissions" and add "Microsoft Graph User.read" permission. This step is vital for enabling XILO to access user data.

  6. Generate a Secret: Navigate to "Certificates & secrets" and generate a new secret for XILO. Record the secret and its ID securely in 1Password or a similar tool.

Step 3: Configure Microsoft Power Platform

  1. Log in to Power Platform: Visit https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/environments and sign in.

  2. Create or Select an Environment: If an environment doesn't already exist, create one. Otherwise, select an existing environment. Note: Creating a new environment or DataVerse might take 10-20 minutes.

  3. Record Environment URL: Once in your environment, note the URL and store it securely.

  4. Add XILO App User: Click "+ New User" and add the XILO app. Assign it to the correct Business Unit and add the necessary security roles.

Step 4: Securely Share Credentials

Finally, securely transmit the Tenant ID, Client ID, Client Secret, and Environment URL to your XILO account manager. This ensures XILO has all necessary credentials stored safely in our secure locker, completing the integration setup.

By following these steps, system administrators can effortlessly integrate XILO with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, enhancing the quoting process for insurance agents. This guide is crafted to make the integration process as straightforward as possible, ensuring a secure and efficient setup.
