Introduction: In the modern insurance agency landscape, integrating your Salesforce CRM with XILO can streamline your data management and enhance your operational efficiency. XILO custom integrations adapt to any Salesforce schema, whether it's tracking multiple drivers and vehicles or managing simple lead objects. Here’s a comprehensive guide on setting up the Salesforce x XILO integration.

Steps for Integration:

  1. Logging into Salesforce:

    • Access your Salesforce account by logging in.

  2. Accessing Settings:

    • Navigate to 'Settings' in your Salesforce account.

  3. Locating App Manager:

    • Find 'App Manager' in the left side bar within Salesforce.

  4. Creating a New Connected App:

    • Click 'New Connected App' located at the top right of the App Manager.

  5. Setting Up the Connected App:

    • Name the connected app 'XILO'.

    • The API name should automatically populate as 'XILO'.

    • Enter the contact email: support@xilo.io.

  6. Enabling OAuth Settings:

  7. Enabling Client Credentials Flow:

    • Check the "Enable Client Credentials Flow" box and confirm any pop-up dialogues.

  8. Saving Your Settings:

    • Click 'Save' to store these configurations.

  9. Managing Consumer Details:

    • On the XILO Connected App page, click 'Manage Consumer Details' to access the Consumer Details page.

  10. Configuring XILO Account:

    • In a new tab, log in to your XILO account as an admin.

    • Go to 'Settings' and select the 'API' tab.

    • Activate the Salesforce Integration and access its settings via the gear icon.

  11. Integrating Consumer Key and Secret:

    • Copy the Consumer Key from Salesforce's Consumer Details Page and paste it into the Client ID field on XILO's API Settings.

    • Repeat this for the Consumer Secret, adding it to the Client Secret field.

  12. Setting Up User Access:

    • Determine whether to use an existing Salesforce user or create a new user for XILO integration. This user will enable XILO to push leads into the system.

  13. Configuring User Details in XILO:

    • Add the Salesforce username to XILO's API Settings.

    • Enter the password and secure token in the format: password@token. (Note: Secure tokens are issued with each password reset in Salesforce.)

  14. Finalizing Integration Settings:

    • Enter your Salesforce instance URL in the login URL field (e.g., xilo.lightning.force.com).

    • For the redirect URL, use: https://xilo.io.

Completion: Your Salesforce x XILO integration should now be active and operational. This integration allows your insurance agency to seamlessly manage and migrate data between Salesforce and XILO, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in your customer relationship management.
