How to Set Up Microsoft-Based SSO with XILO

Set up Microsoft Azure SSO with XILO using SAML for secure login with Microsoft 365 accounts. Step-by-step integration guide included.

This guide walks you through setting up Single Sign-On (SSO) for XILO using Microsoft Azure Active Directory and the SAML protocol. This allows your team to securely log in to XILO using their Microsoft 365 credentials.

🔧 Step-by-Step Setup Instructions

1. Create a New Enterprise Application

  • Log in to Microsoft Azure.

  • Navigate to Enterprise Applications.

  • Select New Application.

  • Name the new application “XILO”.

  • Keep “Integrate any other application” selected.

  • Click Create.

2. Configure Single Sign-On

  • Select Set up Single Sign-On.

  • Choose SAML as the method.

3. Set Basic SAML Configuration

  • Click Edit beside Basic SAML Configuration.

  • Select Add Identifier and Add Reply URL.

  • Copy the Identifier and Reply URL from XILO’s SSO Settings page.

    • For your account, replace org id with your XILO company ID in both URLs.

    • Paste them into the corresponding fields.

  • Click Save.

  • In the Sign on URL (Optional) field, paste:
    https://dashboard.xilo.io/auth/login

4. Download and Store SAML Certificate

  • Under SAML Certificates, download the Certificate (Base64).

  • Copy the Login URL and save it for later use in XILO.

5. Adjust Application Properties

  • Go to Properties.

  • Set Assignment required? to No.

  • Click Save.

6. Add Microsoft SSO Details to XILO

  • Log in to XILO as an Admin at dashboard.xilo.io.

  • Navigate to SettingsSAML SSO Settings.

  • Paste the Login URL (from step 4) into the IDP Login URL field.

  • Open the downloaded Certificate (Base64) file.

  • Copy all content and paste it into the Public Certificate field.

  • Click Save.
